Isabella Marino in her friend's wedding

I love weddings! I have had the priviledge of being in two of my friends' weddings over the past few of years and they are my favorite kind of event!

I also worked many weddings at Events by Creekside during the last couple of summers. I helped set up, tear down, run the mocktail bar and alcohol bar, among other little tasks along the way!

I had the privilege of working with my first clients for their wedding at the Aviary in Lynchburg and it was such a joy to work with this sweet couple! They DIY'd everything and planned it all from scratch, but it was my pleasure to step in towards the end to tie up loose ends and be the day-of coordinator to ensure that everything ran smoothly.

I met with the couple a few times prior to the week of their wedding and then facilitated the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception. I had the help of my wonderful friend, Deirdre Henkel, and together we ensured that the ceremony ran smoothly and the reception proceeded on time, including serving and changing out food, problem-solving issues that came up on the day-of, keeping things on schedule, directing guests, coordinating the send-off, and making sure everyone was out of the venue on time.

"[We] highly recommend Izzy. She was professional and a great communicator. She did an amazing job running things in the background during our wedding, and was engaging during the prep. Her flexibility and ability to work with last minute details was impressive."

James and Rebekah Cook are such a sweet couple! Their wedding was on a beautiful June day at West Cannon Baptist Church, and might I say what a wonderful job they did at turning what I would call an ugly beige church into a beautiful reception hall! They planned everything from start to finish but I had the honor of making sure all the last-minute details were finalized and that the big day ran smoothly. Together with some of the family's friends, we made sure that the ceremony went according to plan, guests were entertained during the cocktail hour, and the reception was a success!

Brett and Danielle Fisher were the cutest couple and so kind! Danielle did a wonderful job planning all the details and designing the decor herself. I had the pleasure of stepping in to make sure that everything was set up correctly and that the big day ran on schedule. I handled tips and timelines from 9AM to 11PM. Despite a couple of mishaps, we were able to keep everything on time and running smoothly. Danielle told me that she wasn't stressed at all which is exactly what I love to hear!

As the coordinator of the Grand Rapids 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, it has been a pleasure working with Isabella over the past eight years. During this time our event has more than tripled in attendance, as well as funds raised for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

Isabella is diligent, proficient, and eager to learn. This has allowed her to take on additional responsibility each year and learn all aspects of our event. She’s worked on marketing and promotion leading up to our event, operations the day of our event, and manages our social media platform throughout the year. I can trust that anything Isabella is working on will be done well.
